Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Platd is not directed to children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. Before creating an account, all users are required to confirm their date of birth through a mandatory age gate. If we learn we have collected data from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete that data immediately. Subscriptions & Billing

Platd offers an optional auto-renewing subscription ("Platd PRO") processed exclusively through the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account (via Settings → Delete Account), we permanently delete your Firestore profile, cook log, and social data within 30 days. Cloudinary-hosted photos are deleted within 14 days of account deletion. Anonymised analytics events (no UID) may be retained for up to 12 months for product improvement.

Security

No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will notify affected users in the event of a data breach as required by applicable law.

Your Rights

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information is sold or disclosed (we do not sell data) and the right to non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify users via an in-app alert or email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
